Emergency Plans For Administration Of Justice (EPAJ)
The Indiana Supreme Court has charged the courts with planning for the administration of justice during a pandemic outbreak or other
emergency. The judges of Hamilton County have selected Judge Pfleging to chair this effort for our judiciary and Ollie Schierholtz, Court Administrator, will be assisting.  All members of the bar have a vital part to play in any continuity of court operations planning (COOP) that may be developed.

A planning meeting was held in Court Admin, on July 20th.  The initial meeting was for the purpose of: 1)finding out what's been done already; 2) identifying court-specific issues that need to be addressed; 3) developing a common framework for planning; 4) determining if there are any gaps that need to be addressed; and, 5) developing a schedule of tasks, time frames, and responsibilities for further work. Questions,
concerns, and/or comments may be directed to Ollie Schierholtz.

HCBA OUTING UPDATE

The baseball outing was attended by approximately 50 members of the bar.  Food
was served buffet style with beer and soft drinks provided an hour before the game. The group had great seats again this year in the lower level along the third base line. For the most part, the weather was great. Much thanks to Judge Pfleging for organizing this great outing on behalf of the association.

The golf outing was cancelled due to lack of interest.  Anyone interested in organizing a fall golf event should contact Bob Becker.
