Shelley Haymaker, the Director of the Hamilton County GAL/CASA Program would like to make you aware they are currently scheduling their attorney training classes that will help inform you as to what role you can play as a Volunteer Child/Adult Advocate in Hamilton County. They have a great need in our County to have trained GAL/CASA volunteers to help with the many cases assigned to the watch.
The training will emphasis on:
* The Hamilton County GAL/CASA Program Rules and Regulations
* Interviewing and Investigating Techniques
* Report Composition
* Case Scenarios involving Adoption, Guardianship, Paternity and Dissolution Matters
* Courtroom Involvement
Historically, the attorneys attending this training have received FREE CLE credits in exchange for working cases as a volunteer. This year the course will offer 6 CLE CREDITS which will once again be free in exchange for accepting 2 cases (if your initial cases is overly time consuming. then I will consider assigning you only 1 case in exchange for the CLE credits). If you would rather, you can pay for the course by bringing a firm check in the amount of $250.00 to Shelley Haymaker the day of training made payable to the Hamilton County GAL/CASA Program.
The training is scheduled for THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the Jury Assembly Room at the Hamilton County Judicial Center. The training will conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m. (Breakfast items and lunch items will be provided on-site).
Please RSVP to Shelley Haymaker at firstname.lastname@example.org by December 2nd if you would like to enjoy the day with her!
