HCBA CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON

The annual HCBA Christmas Luncheon will be held December 14, 2006 at noon at Harbour Trees Golf Club. The event promises the presentation of awards and yuletide musical entertainment.

HCBA FOOD DRIVE

The HCBA will conduct a food drive this month. Non-perishable food items will be collected in the lobby of the courthouse. Donations will be delivered to local food pantries.

ROBING CEREMONY

The robbing ceremony for Judge Gail Bardach, incoming judge of Superior Court 6, will be held December 19, 2006.

SUPERIOR COURT 6 OPPORTUNITIES

With the creation of the new Superior Court 6 in January of 2007 will come job openings for Public Defenders and court staff. Applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume to HCBA President Bob Becker to be forwarded on to the incoming Superior Court 6 Judge.

The HCBA has committed to make a $500 donation to Hamilton Centers Youth Service Bureau. Hamilton Centers benefits the community by providing services such as youth shelter care and supervised visitation.

HCBA MEMBER NEWS

Our Condolences to Gordon Byers and family upon the recent passing of his father, Robert E Byers.

Alex Pinegar has joined Church, Church, Hittle and Antrim as an associate at the law firm’s Noblesville location.

Pinegar’s area of practice will be in corporate law, school law, estate planning and litigation. Alex has been admitted to practice before the Indiana Supreme Court, United States District Courts of Northern and Southern Indiana and is a member of the Indiana Bar Association and Hamilton County Bar Association.

Pinegar graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in 2006 after attending Taylor University in Upland, Indiana where he graduated summa cum laude in 2003. He currently resides in Indianapolis with his wife Laura. In his spare time Alex enjoys playing the piano, reading and sports.
